Good bye Summer

Cheers for the hot and sticky season that is almost over.
Picture 1: automatic adjustment with portrait mode, cloudy day light, no flash. Result :bubbly and fizzy refreshing sensation.
Picture 2 : Manual mode to have more light and a little close up.
Result: kind of the opposite of  the previous one but still preserving the refreshing look because of the bright colors.

I love that black soda, and I drink it all summer... I guess before Autumn (and school) come to my life for the 16th year I had to honor it a little. Crazy thing to do right?

Summer Storm

This is the calm view of my beach apartment, it could even be boring if you've seen it before. Let there be light

They got bigger and bigger, and it was a wonderful free enterteinment show and it took quite a while cathching all of those lightnings. The trick: manual mode and keeping the camera steady.

Beach holiday

A cloudy sky is perfect to experiment with all modes, the light and the dark is different, colors are different.

It's so easy to take pictures in the beach i almost feel that these pictures are not good, please judge.

Light/darkness = no color = no sensation

Observe this parley sequence from my garden.

The technique of regulating light yourself is basic for all photographers, to me all creative pictures can be done with it. Photographers that have total control of it take amazing pictures including B/W pics. But no only the creativity you put in your pictures is important but also recreating a sensation . You can compare picture 1 and 3. Picture 1 is the original, by original I mean balance light, and the third one is quite burned. The sensation in pic 3 is of hotness compared to one. And comparing picture 1 and 2, the second one has the sensation of movement because we have less shadow. Sensation in a photograph makes it a piece of art.

Black and white

This picture is only an attempt, my black and white photography is very amateur. Anyway i think the real B/W photography is the one done in the past with the good old cameras. Probably its what everybody says, but is the truth. Haven't you ever seen famous photographs such as this one by Robert Doisneau?

There are so many other photographer artists that are unknown and so is their beautiful artwork and so many photographs that are only know by advertising and commercials. I'm not saying its not right not to be known if your artwork is I'm saying it's worse for our popular culture. We like something we sometimes DON'T understand but that doesn't change anything, we could learn so much more if we would know the not only the art piece but the artist too. It's much easier to understand art, that's what a I learned after 16 long years.

Returning to the subject nowadays there are more and more photographers that surprise us with incredible pictures sometimes taken in their city, in their house. You don't need to go to other countries, or be in the middle of a battlefield or natural disaster to impress showing a reality. Realities are everywhere, waiting for someone to show them to the world or just be forgotten.

Here is one of my favourite artists but this time his role of photographer, Anton Corbjin

I got to know him thanks to the wonderful collaborations he did for some of my favourite bands like Nirvana, Depeche Mode or U2 in photography and videoclips. If you want to know more about that :

Giant tears

So, we're in the middle of summer almost, i must confess I MISS the rain, yes, those giant tears. A rainy day is a good day to do anything...except going out unless you like to feel the rain. I do. Anyway let me show you that the rain gave me last couple of times it came by...

I think you know what is this and why its there..

Ever noticed that after rain thought it can be cloudy colors are brighter? This was taken around 9 pm and that building was as orange as guess...an orange!

After rain everything is pretty unless we're talking about a storm...but that can be as beautiful as rain, in a very romantic way. Love more than one colour in the sky...

The Sea a beautiful drowning place

Yes, you've guest it by the tittle, and if you didn't (I bet its most uf you...) let me explain. The sea is the one of the greatest landscapes this planet has, and luckly I have the chance to visit it often. But, I DON'T like it, the only reason is beacause I always thought i woulde die drowned in it. Summer is kind like a continuous halloween, ever loved somthing that scares you?
